WHY DID YOU START DURI.AN?
I started DURI.AN with my sister because I wanted to put a smile on someone else’s face. I am a first generation Vietnamese-American. Though I embrace my American identity, I also remember where my parents came from: Vietnam. Hearing about a school lunch program and starting DURI.AN allowed me to form a connection between myself and my ethnicity. I also started DURI.AN to work with and inspire kids who are my age. My goal is to show them that being young is a strength and that you are never too young to lead.
WHAT DO YOU DO FOR DURI.AN
As the President of DURI.AN, I am responsible for setting the vision of the organization. I also have the privilege of collaborating with my amazing partners who are working hard to make our goals a reality.
WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR DURI.AN
I want DURI.AN to cultivate a network of passionate youth worldwide to show the world exactly what young people are capable of. Our goal at DURI.AN is to create, inspire, connect, and empower.
